IDTA AWARD SUCCESS FOR HEAD OF MADD’S JUNIOR SCHOOL
Just days before our Junior Showcase ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ 2020 performances, we are thrilled to celebrate MADD’s Head of Pre-vocational training, Kristy Ryan, and her very recent International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA) award success and recognition!
Co-winner of The John Knight Award, which was launched in 2019 to recognise the high achievement of IDTA Fellowship candidates, Kristy gained an incredible 97% in her Tap Fellowship exam in 2018, and was then nominated for the prestigious John Knight Award. Kristy collected her Award in February 2020.
Selected by IDTA Tap Faculty Chairman Jennifer McCrow, winner Kristy said: “I felt incredibly honoured to be nominated and then chosen to receive the prestigious John Knight Award! John was the examiner for my ballroom, latin & freestyle exams in my earlier training years, so how ironic & humbling it is to now receive this award for my final teaching examination in Tap, my Fellowship! Thank you to everyone at IDTA, my co-winner Natalie Day, and all my family and friends who continue to support me.”
CONGRATULATIONS KRISTY! And awarded close to your birthday too!
It’s so brilliant to have you with us on the MADD faculty!
