‘On behalf of the entire college, students and staff at Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, Principal Frances Clayton would like to congratulate college alumnus Jay McGuiness on his outstanding BBC Strictly Come Dancing performances and much-lauded success with his dance partner Aliona Vilani. Over the last few months, audiences far and wide have witnessed the qualities that make a great performer and dancer. It is clear from many of the comments in the press and on social networks, that Jay has been a pleasure to work with both on screen and behind the scenes during his incredible Strictly journey. Jay’s friendly and diligent qualities make a wonderful showman and these attributes, and much more, are ones we continue to instill in our students today.
